MOTORCYCLE TESTS TO OBTAIN A FULL LICENCE

 

When a candidate turns up to take a practical Motorcycle Test They must have a

current driving  licence with provisional entitlement for the test they are taking.

A current CBT

A theory test certificate

Also if using old type driving licence without photo you will need current passport.

 

Theory tests can be booked through Acer Motorcycle Training for £60 which

 includes loan of CD ROM for your PC and or Theory question and answer book to

practice with.

Which test for me?

A 16 year old can only take a test on a 50cc moped giving them full entitlement for that vehicle.

At 17 or older you have these 2 options.

A1 Test taken on motorcycle between 75cc and 100cc on passing you can ride a motorcycle up to 14.6 bhp

A2 Test taken on a 125 that is capable of at least 62.5 mph, on passing you are restricted to riding motorcycles of less than 33 bhp for 2 years then it upgrades to cat. A status.

21 year old and above also have the following option.

A Category can be taken via the Direct Access Scheme (DAS)

The test must be taken on a Motorcycle over 46.6 bhp on passing the candidate can immediately ride any Motorcycle.

 

CBT £90 + £10 if wanting to use one of our bikes (Please add £10 to CBT price for weekends)

125 Test Training, 2 day intensive course  £340 including Test Fee

125 Test Training, 3 day intensive course  £440 Including Test Fee

 

Hourly lessons on our bikes £30 per hour.

 

Das Training, 3 day Intensive Course  £490 Including Test Fee

 

Das Training, 4 day Intensive Course  £590 Including Test Fee

 

Das Training, 5 day course for the complete novice  £690 Including Test Fee

My girlfriend bought me the DAS course as a Christmas present after deciding you looked the most professional riding school in Gloucester and I didn't regret her choice for a second during the whole week. From my CBT on the Saturday where pulling off, braking, indicating and changing gear seemed beyond me to those damned U-Turns on Wednesday morning, your patience and words of encouragement never faltered. Thanks for giving myself and Paul a grilling out on the roads, because, as you said, the test on Thursday afternoon was a nice, easy, relaxing ride! Hearing about your race antics and plans for future appearances on the road/track broke the riding up and lightened the mood when frustration was starting to set in. You've definitely got a great attitude to your teaching and it made the whole week much easier. I hope you continue to have the success you deserve and I'll certainly be seeing you again as myself and Kate think that a bit of advanced riding tuition would be a good thing to do (Just as soon as I've got a bike!) I'm going to be recommending you to anyone who considers any form of bike training in the future. We are very fortunate to now have the new DSA  motorcycle test centre open near our British Legion Site which is in Green Lane Hardwicke/Quedgeley

The new motorcycle test centre will conduct the new bike tests when they come into force at the end of September 2008.

As soon as we leave our CBT site we are riding in the roads that are used to conduct DAS direct access tests 125 A2 Motorcycle tests scooter test and all bike tests, we can train you and take you to all of these tests.

The new motorbike test centre in Quedgeley will accommodate candidates for bike tests from all parts of Gloucester Stroud Churchdown Cheltenham The Cotswolds The Forest of dean and Monmouth Dursley Tewkesbury and the whole of Gloucestershire.
